    SCCS # B-124:
    ANA Midwinter 1989 souvenir card (BEP) depicting the back of the 1878 ,000 United States note.  The eagle vignette was engraved by William Charlton.  It was printed from the only remaining original intaglio die, which was never completed due to engraving imperfections on the right-side geometric design.  All 4,000 of the notes printed of this type have been redeemed, so there are no issued notes in collector hands.
    Cancelled at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Visitors Center on the first day of issue, March 3, 1989, with a BEP Visitors Center cancellation.
