    BEP souvenir card B 159 ANA 1992 V/C cancel back 1865 National Bank Note
    SCCS # B-159:
    American Numismatic Association (ANA) 1992 souvenir card (BEP) souvenir card featuring the back design of a First Charter Series National Bank Note.  The central vignette is "Landing of Columbus 1492", based on a John Vanderlyn painting.  Engravers James Bannister, Louis Delnoce and Walter Shirlaw have been credited with engraving backs of this era, but it is not known which engraver is responsible for this particular work.
    Cancelled at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Visitors Center on the first day of issue, August 12, 1992, with a BEP Visitors Center cancellation and the 29c World Columbian Stamp Expo 92 stamp.
