    Description

    1850s sixth plate daguerreotype photo of a dapper young man seated in front of a beautifully hand tinted, cloudy sky, wooded backdrop with a column on the right. The oxidation at the periphery has also produced some beautiful colors. The sitter is ID'd on a piece of paper inside the case as "Joshua H. Morris." Archival reseal. Includes original cover glass inside the case. Housed in a beautiful mother-of-pearl "Momento" case with a separated lid.
    * CONDITION: Very Good+++ to Excellent with no scratches, wipes, etc. Very small and light oxidation spot in the sky area. Case is Very Good+ with a detached lid.
