Offering a lot of 40 incredible vintage photographs related to the infamous 1963 Boston Sherry Biltmore Hotel fire. Amazing images include people being rescued, firefighters and fire trucks battling the blaze and photos of the fire damaged rooms. Many have pen or pencil captions on the backs providing details and some have Boston Fire Department Fire Prevention Division stamps.
Sold as-found and I do not have any additional information on the age or history of these photos.
Each measures approximately 8" by 10"
Condition: All photos in this lot have some damage including large bends / creases, wrinkling, paper loss, surface staining or other wear. All have pen notations on the back, some of which provide information about the photo. Photos are curled. Some have pen notations on the fronts (numbers). Overall a very nice lot of rare and unique images despite the damage.
