Lovely Hand-Carved KANGAROO & baby Joey in pouch. I honestly have no idea of the wood only a guess of Mutha? But could certainly be something else. It is a heavy dense wood with a rich grain. SHe has a faded sticker on her side with a no. 53. A tiny rough spot along her ear and a small spot on her paw is lighter but doesn’t feel like a chip (only my opinions) unde her arm over the baby is also a lighter color which I believe is part of the carving.
