    Description

    This daguerreotype features a handsome light eyed young gentleman looking away from the camera. His face was tinted and he wore a double breasted jacket. He is identified on the back of the plate and inside the case as Isaac S. Hartley taken in New York on December 28, 1853.
    The 1/9 plate was resealed with new glass and the half case measures about 2.5 x 3 inches.
