SIZE. Quarter plate.
COLOR. Deep brown.
FRONT. Very good.
BACK. A couple nicks at upper left don't affect its profile.
RAILS. Very good. No stress cracks.
INTERIOR RAILS. Very good. No stress cracks. Tiny nick shows up at top center on receptacle side.
VELVET. Very worn.
CLASP. Works.
HINGES. Good.
THE AMBROTYPE.
Pensive older man with deep-set wrinkles i.e. lots of character. He’s a handsome man caught in a reflective gaze. Quarter plate. On the dark side. Little reddish-brown spots all over the image. Modern seals (not by us).
